I’m Dawn Regier, running for Governor of Oregon in 2026 as the Oregon Progressive Party candidate because democracy only works when the public is truly informed. I believe radical transparency is essential to good government, and as Governor I would regularly communicate with Oregonians through plain-language updates and public conversations—similar to FDR’s fireside chats—so people always know what their government is doing and why. The secrecy surrounding the Governor’s many roles breeds corruption and disconnect, and I want to change that. As a former nurse, my job was translating complex information so people could make informed decisions, and I see my role now as doing the same for Oregon—clearly explaining legislative actions, goals, and outcomes. I’m launching my campaign by releasing speeches on immigration, climate, and public banking, with many more public-facing conversations to come. Democracy shouldn’t happen behind closed doors—it should be something we all can see, understand, and participate in. Check out my website at dawnregier.us
